Got to the station ready for our big adventure. The last time I was on a train was when I was a puppy – not sure I’m too keen on it now.

When we got to London we had to walk to the tower. Then I had to sit quietly whilst we registered and got our number. I amused myself watching other runners spending ages in pre-race stretches. Me, I just arch my back once and go!

I got to model the T-shirt (it has a list of all the London runs we’re going to do) with my number on before we started. Everyone thought it looked better on me than on them.

Near the start there was a man dressed in a funny outfit called a beefeater who wanted his picture taken with me. Apparently he looks after the Tower and feeds the crows (didn’t feed me though 🙁 )

Finally, we were off. We had to do 3 laps of the grass moat around the tower. It was so hot I didn’t wear my special coat and was very glad of the water stops in the middle of every lap. I found doing laps confusing. As we went passed the finish at the end of each lap I thought it was the end and wanted to stop (I’m not very good at counting) but had to carry on round again.

At the finish everybody wanted to take my photo but I had to find my owner first (she was lagging a bit behind me). As we stopped so often to get a drink and I can’t drink on the run, we recorded a poor time of 40:51

After getting my medal I did a photo shoot with the BHF Heart. I must be famous now after so many people took pictures of me.

The run goes on for some time and you can start when you want so we watched some other people running the route after we had finished and had climbed back up to street level.

As we had some time to spare before we had to walk back for the train home we did some sight seeing as I had never been to London before.

When we got back to Liverpool Street station there were even more stairs to climb. I sat down at the top for a bit of a rest.

I was very glad when the train pulled in after a bit of a wait. I was ready for a sleep after my busy day

A big thank you to all who sponsored me

My next run is BHF Canary Wharf 5k on 21/5
